We had a great time at Bonaventure last Saturday. The weather was fantastic but really windy. At least two clubs when hitting into the wind. It seem that every hole we played was into the wind...

Wow what a relief, the cold was gone, the sun was shinning and the wind was blowing. We had a great time playing one of our favorite courses here in South Florida, Bonaventure Country Club.

We really appreciate the way you treat us, and the way you let everyone know at the starting area that 100 Plus is not our age!

Sports & Activities Weston Directory did a fantastic article on 100 Plus Golf. The article features an interview with Gary and Mike Kogon the founders of our organization. First Outing of 2010 Inverrary Country

We hope everyone had the happiest of holidays. It's time to get back out on the links and use all the neat gifts that you received. Our first outing of 2010 will be Saturday the 9th at Inverrary Country Club. Tee time is 12:00. Come early to warm up and stretch out all of the muscle that have been on vacation for the past few weeks. You might need your Long Johns according to the weather folks...

Here's our gang at Bonaventure Country Club. The highlight of the day was Juan's tee shot on the 3rd hole, par 3. He made the 3 foot putt for a birdie. I guess 3's where in the cards for Juan today. Check out Joanie's tee shot on the 14th, par 3. This foursome had some great shots on the par 3's!!

Just another beautiful day in paradise. We played Colony West on Saturday and Plantation Preserve on Sunday and still had the energy to pose for these pictures. As you can see our group is growing each week and we have had the chance to meet and play golf with a great group of new friends. Wow we had a busy weekend, Colony West and Plantation Perserve back to back. Weather has finally changed only mid 80's, fall is upon us and the days are getting shorter.

We would like to welcome our newest member Nancy Moening who joined us at Plantation Perserve on Sunday. I would like to quote an email from Nancy.

"Hi Mike, so nice meeting you and Gary on Sunday at Plantation...had a great time! Never figured with my handicap I would ever be playing at such a great course. Look forward to meeting the other members...this club is such a great idea!"

We have just added a new Outing for the month of December. On 12/19 we will be playing at Flamingo Lakes Country Club in Pembroke Pines. This beautiful course is located in Century Village just east of I-75 Pines Blvd exit. Hope everyone can play as this will be our last offical Outing of 2009.

Plantation Preserve presented us with a great challange as the gusty winds continued. It was a beautiful "cool day" tempertures in the low 80's. The winds blew up to 20/25 mile gusts testing our "wind games." We had to put Norman's picture in again...as he continues to provide a fashion statement.

Wow was it Hot!!!! Thank goodness for the clouds on the back nine. We had a great time with nine new members joining our outing at Bonaventure. Our group continues to grow and we now have over 50 members with 3 new golfers joining on line over the weekend. It was nice to cool off at the 19th hole and laugh and share some of the stories of the day. I would like to congratulate Ann for the great birdie she made on the 12th hole. She hit the ball across the sand trap, through the rough, onto the green and it continued to roll 30 feet into the cup! These are the memories that bring us "100 Plus Golfers" back.

We had a fantastic time at the Famous East Course-Home of the Jackie Gleason Classic. Fianlly the weather was on our side. We had a fantastic time on Saturday at the course. It poured like crazy after the first nine and we all huddled for cover hoping the storm would pass. It didn't so we enjoyed our shower and the rain checks. Below are a few photos of some of our members on the first tee. "Rally For The Cure" Closest to the pin Contest held 8/8/09 at Plantation Preserve. It was a tremendous success. The winner Dave C shot was 10'6" from the pin. Believe it or not he was in the first foursome that took part in the event. Rally for the Cure supports the Susan G. Komen Foundation for Breast Cancer. Each person who took part received a one year subscription to Golf Digest, Rally logo Golf towel, a Pink Ribbon golf pin, Hallmark greeting card and material on breast cancer awareness. If you stayed on the green with your tee shot you won a Titleist Pink Ribbon Golf ball, and a chance to win the Titleist One Shot sweepstakes for a trip to TPC Scottsdale or TPC Sawgrass. The winner of the Closest to the pin contest won a Cleveland Classic Putter.
